The Wookiee escape pod^[5] was a custom-built shuttle built by the Wookiees of Kashyyyk. Jedi Grand Master Yoda escaped clone troopers following the Battle of Kashyyyk aboard one of these craft, assisted by Tarfful and Chewbacca.

An escape pod^[2] and shuttle^[4] built by Uurbahhahvoovv Joiners & Artisans^[1] this conical vessel was powered by three engines and contained a single seat to accommodate one passenger. The front of the craft's smooth hull split open to form a doorway and lower a boarding ramp into the ship's interior.^[3]

History[]

During the Battle of Kashyyyk, Jedi Grand Master Yoda was forced to flee when Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine issued Order 66 to clone troopers across the galaxy. Striking down Clone Commander Gree and a clone scout trooper, Yoda escaped Kachirho with the help of Wookiee warriors Tarfful and Chewbacca. They led Yoda to a^[3] hidden shuttle^[4] covered by branches, which Tarfful swept away from the conical craft. Bidding goodbye to his Wookiee friends, Yoda entered the^[3] secret escape pod^[6] and took off from the planet's surface. He was later rescued by Bail Organa aboard the Tantive III, who took the pod aboard his craft after escaping Coruscant.^[3]
