"Their ship was sharp and jagged, stuck together from different styles."
―Marda Ro, in her journal[1]

A ship was used by the Evereni siblings Vika and Velya Faer during the High Republic Era. At some point no earlier than 379 BBY, they refueled it in a space dock orbiting the gas giant Siquay. While they were at the dock, Marda Ro—an Evereni pirate leader hunting others of her species—caught up to them and invited them onto her ship, an invite that the two Faers accepted. Ro later made a recording for her descendants, in which she mentioned the ship. By 252 BBY, her great-great-grandson Marchion Ro had listened to the message that mentioned the ship.

Description[]

"The oldest part of the engine glowed eerie green. It was, I have learned, Evereni technology."
―Marda Ro, in her journal[1]

The ship's construction was an amalgam of different styles and had a sharp and jagged aesthetic. The oldest part of its engines was a piece of Evereni technology and possessed a green glow.[1]

History[]

"I sent all three of the Gaze's little parasite ships to surround them, call out to them, project my invitation like a clarion."
―Marda Ro, in her journal[1]

During the High Republic Era, the ship belonged to the Evereni siblings Vika and Velya Faer.[1] At some point no earlier than 379 BBY,[2] the Faer siblings used the ship to visit a space dock hanging over the gas giant Siquay, where they refueled the ship. The two Faers stayed at the dock long enough for Marda Ro—the Evereni[1] founder of a marauder group who would eventually become the Nihil[3]—to catch up to them in[1] her[4] hunt for others of her species. Ro had starships under her command surround the siblings' ship and hailed them, sending the siblings an invitation to join her aboard the Gaze Electric, her ship. The Faers, outgunned, let themselves be brought aboard and were taken to the Gaze's throne hall. Later, Ro mentioned the ship in a message she recorded for her descendants while detailing her encounter with the Faers.[1] By 252 BBY,[5] during his youth, Ro's great-great-grandson Marchion Ro had listened to her journal, including the entry where the ship was mentioned.[4]

Behind the scenes[]

Vika and Velya Faer's ship was mentioned in the short story "A Closed Fist Has No Claws," written by Tessa Gratton and published in the 2023 young-adult anthology The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life as a part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.[1]
