The crest
A crest could be found decorating the door and carpet of Jedi Padawan Barriss Offee's quarters, as well as the door of the room across from hers in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Circular in shape, the crest was brown, with a feather-like arch above a brown diamond composed of four smaller diamonds inside a double-ringed border on a white background. The crest's design showed similarities[1] with the crest of the Jedi Order as a whole[2] and the traditional, geometric Mirialan facial tattoos worn by Offee and her Master, Luminara Unduli.[3] The crest was also emblazoned on the walls of an area of the Jedi Temple where, during the siege[4] in 19 BBY,[5] three Jedi fell in battle protecting the youngling Grogu from attacking clone troopers of the 501st Legion.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
The crest was designed by David Le Merrer for its first appearance in "The Wrong Jedi," the twentieth and final episode of the fifth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars,[1] which premiered on Cartoon Network on March 2, 2013.[1] Personal emblems designed for Jedi quarters were introduced in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, in the form of Yoda's crest.[6]
