"An archeologist came to Vandor in search of an ancient temple she swore was beneath the Jirree Glacier."
―An excerpt from Tivoche Bilure's journal[1]

During the Imperial Era, an archaeologist traveled to the planet Vandor looking for an ancient temple that she believed was buried beneath the Jirree Glacier. The archeologist met bartender Tivoche Bilure and shared a story she had heard that claimed smuggler Han Solo had grown up on the planet Coruscant and had helped the Jedi during his childhood.

Biography[]

"…the archaeologist asked if I knew that Han Solo had helped the Jedi as a child."
―An excerpt from Tivoche Bilure's journal[1]

During the reign of the Galactic Empire, an archaeologist traveled to the planet Vandor in search of an ancient temple that she believed was buried beneath the Jirree Glacier. By that time, the individual had heard a story that claimed smuggler Han Solo had helped the Jedi during his childhood. According to the story, Han Solo grew up on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant, where he made a living joining youth tours of major landmarks where he robbed tourists. At some point, Solo went by the name "Ian" and infiltrated the Jedi Temple, where he discovered Separatist agents stealing battle plans from the Jedi Order. Solo ended up helping Jedi Master Yoda and Republic clone troopers recover their plans.[1]

The archeologist told Tivoche Bilure, a bartender who worked at the Lodge, the story. Before telling him the story, she looked around her to see if anyone was listening. Once safe, she proceeded to tell the story, which Bilure wrote in his journal[1] between 10 BBY and 3 ABY,[2] where he catalogued the story as a goofy holo-tale. She also asked Bilure how he could be certain that Han Solo was not still working with the Jedi.[1] In reality, Solo had grown up on the planet Corellia.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

The archaeologist was mentioned in the 2018 replica journal Solo: A Star Wars Story: Tales from Vandor, written by Jason Fry.[1] The archaeologist's story is based on the events of the 2011 non-canon television special LEGO Star Wars: The Padawan Menace. In the special, Han Solo helps Jedi Master Yoda and clone trooper commander Cody retrieve stolen Republic battle plans after Separatist agent Asajj Ventress took them from the Senate Building.[4]
