The Tython sun was the sun of the Deep Core's[1] Tython system,[2] in grid square L-10.[1] The Tython sun was orbited by[3] the ancient Jedi[5] planet Tython,[3] which was in turn orbited by a number of moons, including Ashla.[4]

The Tython sun appeared in the current Star Wars canon in the 2022 novel Shadow of the Sith, by Adam Christopher.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Tythos, the star of the Tython system, was first mentioned in the The Holonet, a feature on the official website of the 2011 massively multiplayer online roleplaying game The Old Republic, developed by BioWare. Tythos made its first appearance in eleventh issue of the Star Wars: The Old Republic series of comics, which was published in October 12, 2011, written by Alexander Freed and penciled by Dave Ross.[6]
