"I see Ben Quadinaros from the Tund system."
Fodesinbeed Annodue — (audio) Listen (file info)[3]

The Tund system,[4] also known as the Toong system,[5] was a mysterious star system[4] located in the Centrality sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] that contained the planet Tund,[2] a hidden world that became the home of[6] a Toong Podracer pilot[4] named Ben Quadinaros.[6] The Tund system lay in grid square U-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Tund system was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the 1999 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.[3] It was then pictured on a galactic map included with the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a roleplaying game produced by Fantasy Flight Games and released in 2016.[1] The reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations, which also released in that year, introduced the name "Toong system" as an alternative to Tund system.[5] The StarWars.com Databank erroneously refers to the Tund system as a world rather than a star system.[6]

The system was first mentioned in the Star Wars Legends continuity in Lando Calrissian and the Mindharp of Sharu, a 1983 novel written by L. Neil Smith as the first volume of the Star Wars: The Lando Calrissian Adventures trilogy.[7]
