A truncheon was a type of melee weapon. After being rescued by Saw Gerrera when her mother was killed and her father taken by the Galactic Empire, Jyn Erso was trained to use the weapons by Gerrera at his base on Wrea. She later purchased a pair of truncheons at Five Points.^[2]
