"Well, kid, it so happens I'm here to sell my ship and stay awhile. I'll give you a good price."
―Trix Sternus, to Julen Rakab — (audio) Listen (file info)[1]

Trix Sternus was a spice dealer who came to the Outer Rim planet Batuu in 34 ABY to sell her starship, an Avent100-series light freighter. After touring the ship, the farmer Julen Rakab impulsively bought it from her. Sternus donned a silver cape while on Batuu, and the smuggler Izal Garsea later remembered the spice dealer's stylish appearance.

Trix Sternus traveled to Batuu (pictured) to sell her starship.

The spice dealer Trix Sternus traveled to the Outer Rim Territories planet Batuu[1] in 34 ABY,[2] intending to stay and sell her starship. She met the farmer Julen Rakab at Ohnaka Transport Solutions' headquarters in Batuu's spaceport and listened to him ramble about his friend, the smuggler Izal Garsea. Sternus asked Rakab whether he wanted to see Garsea again and offered to sell her ship to him for a good price. After Rakab toured the spice dealer's ship and readily agreed to purchase it, the pair shook hands and exited the ship, and Sternus took her leave.[1]

Garsea later stole Rakab's new ship in order to rescue him from Ana Tolla's crew of smugglers, though she believed it still belonged to Sternus. Rakab recognized the ship when it came to free him and remembered his purchase of it from the spice dealer as impulsive.[1]

Personality and traits[]

Trix Sternus had brown skin and appeared middle-aged by the time of her trip to Batuu. She styled her hair in two layers of buns consisting of hundreds of twists, and Izal Garsea later remembered that the spice dealer had a stylish appearance. As she presented her ship for sale to Julen Rakab, Sternus displayed empathy with his desire to see Garsea again.[1]

Equipment[]

Sternus owned a red-striped Avent100-series light freighter, which she sold to Julen Rakab. While in Batuu's spaceport, she wore a silver cape.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Trix Sternus appeared in A Crash of Fate, a 2019 young-adult novel written by Zoraida Córdova.[1]
