"Hello, Master Tosan. How can I help you?"
"The Jedi Council has another mission for you."
―Obi-Wan Kenobi and Tosan[1]

Tosan was a Zygerrian Jedi Master who served the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic following the Battle of Naboo. At some point between 32 BBY and 29 BBY, the Zygerrian informed Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi that the Jedi Council had a mission for him concerning a Jedi holocron discovered on the planet Dallenor. Tenacious by nature, Tosan used a yellow-colored double-bladed lightsaber as a Jedi Guardian.

Biography[]

"An archaeology team believes they've discovered an ancient Jedi holocron?"
"Yes, on the planet Dallenor, in the Mid Rim. It's not a Republic world, but the archaeology team comprises Republic citizens—"
―Obi-Wan Kenobi and Tosan[1]

Once a Jedi Guardian carrying the title of Jedi Knight,[2] Tosan attained the rank of Jedi Master while serving the Jedi Order[1] and the Galactic Republic.[2] Sometime between the years 32 BBY and 29 BBY,[3] Tosan met with Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi at the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant to inform him that the Jedi Council had assigned him a mission to the Mid Rim world of Dallenor.[1]

Interrupting Kenobi's training session with his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, Tosan handed over a datapad to Kenobi containing the details of his assignment. He was to investigate the discovery of an ancient Jedi holocron, a Jedi artifact used to store information, by an archaeology team excavating on Dallenor.[1]

Personality and traits[]

A tenacious Jedi,[2] Tosan was a Zygerrian who had gold eyes, tan skin, and pink hair.[1]

Equipment[]

Tosan wielded a double-bladed lightsaber.

Jedi Master Tosan wielded a yellow-colored double-bladed lightsaber.[2] She wore brown Jedi robes with a green overtunic and brown undertunic, a utility belt, and a pair of brown boots.[1] Tosan also occasionally wore a pair of brown gloves.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Tosan was introduced as playable character "Jedi Knight Guardian" in the 2015 mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, which features characters and ships from both the canon and Legends continuities.[2] The character was later identified by name when she appeared in the canon one-shot comic Age of Republic - Obi-Wan Kenobi 1, which was written by Jody Houser, illustrated by Cory Smith,[1] and released by Marvel Comics on January 2, 2019.[4] Tosan's inclusion in the comic book was conceived by Houser, who is a fan of the mobile game.[5]

"Jedi Knight Guardian" was designed by artist Noah Soliday Bench for Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes.[6] While there is no indication of Tosan's pronouns in the game or the comic,[1][2] both Bench and Houser use she/her pronouns for the character.[6][7] In the game, the non-playable characters "Jedi Guardian" and "Apprentice Sentinel" have the same character model as Tosan. However, the latter character's double-bladed lightsaber features orange-colored blades.[2]
