Canonicity[]

Can this game really be considered canon? I just don't see how a game set in the Star Wars universe in which members of different species playing a holotable game where they control characters from the movies and TV shows can be canon. Cevan IMPpress (talk) 17:04, November 25, 2015 (UTC)

  • I've got to agree. I think this game should be treated similar to Galactic Defense, where the game itself isn't canon, but the information found in the game is. Cwedin(talk) 17:15, November 25, 2015 (UTC)
    • Perhaps, but what about the characters in the cantina, like the Twi'lek "Cantina Keeper" and the Hutt who's one of the top players? Cevan IMPpress (talk) 17:28, November 25, 2015 (UTC)
      • I'm not really sure about them; even if the holotable game is noncanon, those characters could still be canon. I'll message the developers on the off chance that they'll respond. In the meantime, should appearances be added to the noncanon sections of other pages? Cwedin(talk) 17:44, November 25, 2015 (UTC)
        • I'm not really sure how we can consider the characters canon if the holotable game isn't. You're going to have to describe what exactly the holotable game they played is, and I don't see how the holotable game is possibly canon. We can still make pages for the cantina characters, but if we do I think they should be considered non-canon. Cevan (talk) 18:00, November 25, 2015 (UTC)
          • Yeah, what I just said was completely backwards, you're right. Cwedin(talk) 18:24, November 25, 2015 (UTC)
            • Well, it appears HK-47 is in Galaxy of Heroes so I really doubt it's canonicity. Cevan (talk) 17:17, November 27, 2015 (UTC)
              • Why? Legends characters have been canonized by games before, and, unlike the FF games, GoH was never Legends at any point. Galactic Defense reintroduced several Legends topics, and those were clearly named as canon; why should this be any different? Cwedin(talk) 18:25, November 27, 2015 (UTC)
                • I had forgotten about Galactic Defense. I've removed the delete template from HK-47's canon page for now. I'm going to try and see if I can get an answer on GoH's canon status (though I doubt it's canon). Cevan (talk) 19:13, November 27, 2015 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I agree that it's probably non-canon, but to avoid assumptions I've sent out a couple Tweets. Hopefully we can get a definitive answer to this. Cwedin(talk) 19:17, November 27, 2015 (UTC)

  • Alright, so the developers haven't replied (as usual), but I did get a response from Pablo Hidalgo. I think this is enough to safely conclude it's non-canon. Cwedin(talk) 20:00, November 27, 2015 (UTC)

hey every1, has any1 else noticed that when put on auto in standard missions you heros all target 1 enemy at a time to be the most effective? and yet when going in the arena they refuse to hit the same person twice, like at all, even if i am selecting the person per hero, it will always change to another enemy... any1 know how to fix this? --Dracoswizard (talk) 14:19, January 18, 2016 (UTC)

By the way, as of yet there are no characters that are unique to Star Wars Rebels included in the game. Perhaps this is simply to avoid a further licensing fee for characters that aren't very well known yet. 71.85.101.201 03:12, April 6, 2016 (UTC)KP

If the game takes place post 35 ABY why is it still considered non-canon to canon? - Red Duel 18:52, December 27, 2019 (UTC)

Why are the characters from legends still considered legends when the game was always canon and the game could be considered a non-canon first appearance of the characters like with Disney Infinity 3.0? - Red Duel (talk) 17:36, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

  • The canonical status of the game as never been confirmed, in fact it has been mentioned at various occasion that this was intentional (why pick a side when you can have it all?). The community reached consensus on this issue a while ago, and I think it's still the choice that make the most sense, as other possible treatment on our end would just be more arbitrary and confusing (we really don't need/want a canon Bastilla article for example). • I understand that but the reason I bring this up is that the dipictions don't add up like, Revan's lightsaber and Revan's Sith lightsaber for instance I know his Sith lightsaber was used when he was a Jedi but his other lightsaber was never used when he was with the Sith, that why I ask. - Red Duel (talk) 18:13, 17 May 2022 (UTC)

Quinlan Vos?![]

I see that Quinlan Vos is listed as having a mention in this game. Is there a source for this? Where exactly is he mentioned? Unsigned comment by Justastarwarsfan13 (talk • contribs).
