It seems that the article is duplicated.[]

As of now, there are separate (non-redirect) articles for Luke Skywalker's lightsaber and Luke Skywalker's green lightsaber.

We should probably make one of those a redirect and consolidate its information on the other.

Personally, I would favor the "green" variant. More informative. LuisDantas (talk) 23:46, January 20, 2018 (UTC)

different name?!?[]

so why the different name for the canon and non-canon pages? ralok (talk) 18:05, October 31, 2014 (UTC)

  • Simple. It's already explained in the page history, but to explain again, when possible, we use the name found in sources. The only sources we have from canon refer to this as "Luke's lightsaber," so that's what we're using. ProfessorTofty (talk) 18:36, October 31, 2014 (UTC)
    • And if we used "Luke Skywalker's lightsaber," that name would be conjectural, and the page would have to be deleted per the notability policy. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 18:50, October 31, 2014 (UTC)

Actually "Luke's lightsaber" is mentioned twice. Both in Star Wars in 100 scenes. One refers to the blue lightsaber (page 141) and the other refers to his green lightsaber (page 180). Is this the only canon personal lightsaber article? Why are there no articles for Qui-Gon's lightsaber? Obi-Wan's lightsaber? Yoda's lightsaber? etc, etc. I've not read it yet, but is there no mention of Darth Vader's lightsaber in the new 'Tarkin' novel? --86.162.252.209 12:34, November 22, 2014 (UTC)Makashi-Master1988

  • Well, articles for at least some of those probably could be created, but there are only so many of us and only so much time. If they are notable, it's likely someone will create them eventually. ProfessorTofty (talk) 13:06, November 22, 2014 (UTC)

Much Like Your Father's[]

In the movie Return of the Jedi when Emperor Palpatine is examining the weapon he notes that it is much like Luke's father's. This line make little sense as the two Jedi lightsabers built as Anakin Skywalker and the Sith lightsabers built as Darth Vader have no similarities to the one constructed by Luke. If anything it shares similar design elements to Obi-Wan Kenobi's lightsaber, which is no surprise as Kenobi was his first Jedi Master and that he collected the final parts he need to construct it at Kenobi's hut. Should this not be noted in the article? --JMasterWor (talk) 15:36, July 26, 2016 (UTC)

The fate of the Luke Skywalker's second lightsaber[]

I saw Star Wars Episode VIII The Last Jedi, expecting Luke's lightsaber would return/appear, but it only did in flashbacks. What happened to it after his fight with Ben Solo turning to the dark side and becoming Kylo Ren? Why didn't he have it with him on Ahch-To? Did it get burned at/in/near the Jedi Temple? --User:Retro Reed 00:20, May 22, 2018 (UTC)

  • As of yet we don't know what happened to it --Lewisr (talk) 23:11, December 21, 2017 (UTC)

But how will we find out? --User:Retro Reed 00:20, May 22, 2018 (UTC)

  • I don't know, maybe we never will --Lewisr (talk) 23:14, December 21, 2017 (UTC)
  • Just be patient, one day we will get a story about the destruction of Luke's Jedi Order and maybe we're going to get an answer for this.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:14, December 21, 2017 (UTC)

Do you agree or disagree with this?: My theory and my brother's guess/theory is/was that it got burned in the Jedi Temple. And I will be patient.--User:Retro Reed 00:20, May 22, 2018 (UTC) What I think really happened to his lightsaber was that Luke didn't take it with him to Ahch-To, he threw it in the fire because he had given up and felt like he didn't need to fight or train anymore. He flew his X-Wing without Artoo and crash landed it in the water instead of land, so he wouldn't leave. And cut himself from the force. This all comes from the Knights of Ren and his nephew turning to the Dark Side. --User:Retro Reed 00:20, May 22, 2018 (UTC)

  • Potentially yes, maybe one day we will see what happened to it! --Lewisr (talk) 23:06, February 26, 2018 (UTC)

Page title[]

Shouldn't this page just be called Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber, not Luke Skywalker's green lighstaber. The color of the lightsaber isn't really necessary to have in the title and the Legends page does not have the color in the title? Is there a reason it is titled as such or should we change it?--Benjay2345 (talk) 19:30, January 6, 2018 (UTC)

  • No, because that's the name of the Legends article. --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 16:39, September 16, 2019 (UTC)

Blade length[]

How long is the blade? 207.224.177.13 21:35, June 4, 2019 (UTC)

Flashback Confirmation[]

In Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, was that green bladed lightsaber shown in the flashback Luke's, and was that him holding it? --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 20:46, January 7, 2020 (UTC)

  • Yes it was Luke and yes it was his green saber, it was only a year after ROTJ --Lewisr (talk) 20:51, January 7, 2020 (UTC)

Missing reference[]

How come there's no reference link after the last sentence of the paragraph under the section "Dueling on Exegol"? There should be, right? If so, what is it? --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 19:14, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
