Oops? i think i just stepped into an edit war by mistake. Hasn't the policy always been that the movies trump other sources?

Sorry, let me try this again:

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Credits?diff=prev&oldid=5742886 Han 35,000 now; counteroffer 10,000 now + 40,000 later

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Credits?diff=next&oldid=5764153 revert edit Han 10,000 now; counteroffer 2,000 now + 15,000 later

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Credits?diff=next&oldid=5766651 revert

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Credits?diff=next&oldid=5766706 revert

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Credits?diff=next&oldid=5766710 revert, and Cloneablestar tells me, "You use the sub as references but its incorrect. In the italian version, Han said 35,000 credits and the sum was 10,000 and 40,000. Its also confirmed in the books."

i'm not sure what you mean by "sub", but i believe film trumps book, and i assume George Lucas wrote both film and book in English, which trumps Italian. (i don't have the book handy to check what you're saying about the credits here, but the book also had Luke fly against the Death Star as Blue Five--film's Red Five trumps book's blue.)

--71.121.143.98 20:28, August 20, 2015 (UTC) Free to think as yuo want, but at least open your discussion page before leaving me a message, first. Secondly, you use as font the subtitles of the film or you listen to it? Just to know if I'm wrong.

But, Asithol is right, too. However, where would be the right place to mention that the Italian version changes the numbers? Star_Wars:_Episode_IV_A_New_Hope#Trivia, maybe?

For the record, no longer a concern, as far as credits not being specified. A New Hope: The Princess, the Scoundrel and the Farm Boy makes it clear that it's credits. ProfessorTofty (talk) 05:36, September 22, 2015 (UTC)

Naming policy 1.3 seems to indicate this article ought to be named Credit rather than Credits, yes? Asithol (talk) 20:44, August 21, 2015 (UTC)

  • i agree, although i'd be amused by a disambiguation to distinguish the currency from movie credits ("Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford as Jenos Idanian" etc) --71.121.143.171 04:23, August 26, 2015 (UTC)
  • Absolutely. A credit is a singular unit of currency. -- Riffsyphon1024 22:46, September 11, 2015 (UTC)
