Lack of tabs on Legends page[]
Apparently specifying the canon article at an internal link will not create tabs on the top of the Legends page. Would we prefer to leave it as it is, or just take out the internal link in order to have the tabs on the Legends page? Or is there a way to force tabs on the Legends page without doing this? - I think a better idea is to create a Legends page called Force choke with all the information from Telekinesis/Legends#Choking powers and move this page back to Force choke/Canon. This would result in correct tabs configuration. Also, Force choke is not the same power as Force push, so I think that should have its own article as well.--Richterbelmont10 (come in R2!) 20:48, August 31, 2014 (UTC)
- They're both basic applications of telekinesis. There's no reason for them to have separate articles. Cade Calrayn 20:53, August 31, 2014 (UTC)
- The reason to split them up is because the Telekinesis article is large and unwieldy, as evidenced by the {{Cleanup}} template that's been there for a long time. They should be broken up into smaller, more manageable articles. Also, in many sources both Legends and Canon, the telekinetic powers are separated into different Force powers.--Richterbelmont10 (come in R2!) 21:29, August 31, 2014 (UTC)
- Let's move this conversation to Talk:Telekinesis, if it needs to continue. It's not relevant to Talk:Force choke, since "telekinesis" is not a canonical term at this point. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 21:55, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

Non Canon Sith[]
Lord Scourge Isn't this Sith non canon , if so , I would suggest he be removed from the canon page--Tacolyte3 (talk) 15:12, October 17, 2014 (UTC)Tacolyte3
Opening quote[]
The reason I chose "I find your lack of faith disturbing" as the opening quote is because it's one of the most iconic quotes in Star Wars that's associated with Force Choke. As well, it fits the infobox image perfectly and is well-situated in that sense. The quote about Padmé can be placed under Barriss Offee and thus we can have both.--Richterbelmont10 (come in R2!) 19:46, February 12, 2015 (UTC)
- Fair points, however I feel the Padmé quote better reflects the article as a whole, whereas the Vader one - while it is iconic - is merely something he says while choking Motti; it isn't actually about force choking. I would like to see what some other people think about this though. Cevan (talk) 23:30, February 13, 2015 (UTC)
- I agree with Cevan. A quote about Force choke is better than a line said while performing a choke. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 23:53, February 13, 2015 (UTC)
Luke[]
I've removed references to Luke's choking. Per the Jr. Novelization (978-1405285445), Luke used a mind control technique, not a choke. I believe this has been the approach of Lucasfilm since Heir to the Empire. We might want to double check other canon/legends pages. —Unsigned comment by EckhartsLadder (talk • contribs).
- Heir to the Empire and Legends sources don't matter here, if canon sources say it was a mind control technique then that's we go with --Lewisr (talk) 16:29, January 25, 2018 (UTC)
- Was it Return of the Jedi: Beware the Power of the Dark Side! where it was stated as a mind control technique?--Vitus InfinitusTalk 03:41, January 26, 2018 (UTC)
- Think its Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (paperback novel) --Lewisr (talk) 08:07, January 26, 2018 (UTC)
