"You believe in what you're doing, Dav?"
"I…do."
"Fine. Good enough for me. I hope you're right. Best run now. Go out the back window. Take the speeder bike in the barn."
―Glen Taffral and Dav Taffral, in the farmhouse — (audio) Listen (file info)[1]

The Taffral house was a farmhouse on the planet Saleucami that served as the residence of the Taffral family. In 4 ABY, the farmer Glen Taffral and his sons—the Imperial loyalist Webb and the Rebel Alliance member Dav—had a family dinner together in the farmhouse. The brothers quickly began to argue during the meal until their father intervened. Shortly after, Dav fled the house as Imperial forces convened on the residence, having been informed of his location by Webb's report.

Description[]

The Taffral house was the home of the Taffral family on[1] the Outer Rim[2] planet Saleucami. The farmhouse had wooden floors, at least one window, and a dining table with chairs.[1] By 4 ABY,[3] the residence looked old in appearance. The house was also near the family's barn.[1]

Saleucami-TD

The Taffral family's farmhouse was located on Saleucami.

By the time of the Imperial Era, the farmer Glen Taffral lived in the house. Glen's sons, Dav and Webb Taffral, chose to leave the family farmhouse and join opposing sides in the Galactic Civil War—the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire—respectively. Glen opted to remain on Saleucami and continue his life as a farmer as he grieved the death of his children's mother. However,[1] by 4 ABY,[3] Webb had been kicked out of the Empire's Imperial Academy and returned to the home to live with his father.[1]

That year,[3] Glen hosted a family dinner in the house, and Dav returned home to dine with his family, having been away working in the nascent New Republic, which had been formed from the Rebel Alliance. Dav and Webb began arguing not long into the meal over their differing loyalties, with the latter knocking his chair backward and lunging at his brother from across their dining table. Their fistfight was brought to a halt by Glen, who berated the pair for not choosing family first in every circumstance, especially since governments would always come and go. However, TIE fighters arrived over the Taffral house shortly afterward, prompting Webb to admit he had reported Dav's whereabouts to the Imperials. Glen quickly used a blaster to stun Webb, instructing Dav on how to escape the house. The father then turned the weapon inward and fired it on himself, intending to tell Imperial forces that Dav had stunned him and ran. Dav then fled the home's premises, heading out the back window as the farmhouse's door was broken down.[1]
