Tabbers was an acquaintance of the Scrapper Guild Riggers Cal Kestis and Prauf during the reign of the Galactic Empire.^[1] In 14 BBY,^[2] he was on the^[1] moon^[3] Nar Shaddaa and owed Kestis a favor. Kestis, who was also a Jedi Padawan in hiding from the Empire, mentioned this owed favor to Prauf while the Riggers discussed Kestis's plans to leave the planet Bracca after he had used the Force in front of an Imperial probe droid. Before he could leave, Imperial Inquisitors tasked with hunting down surviving Jedi killed Prauf and discovered Kestis, causing him to flee Bracca aboard the yacht Stinger Mantis instead.^[1]
