- "I want you and Anakin to find C'baoth and ask to go along with him. Not all the way to the next galaxy. Just through the Unknown Regions part of the exploration."
"That could take months. I have work to do on Sulorine." - ―Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi
Sulorine was an Outer Rim Territories celestial body located in the Suolriep sector. Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi was tasked with an assignment on Suolriep; however, before he could travel there from the planet Coruscant, Jedi Master Mace Windu instead gave him another mission, one involving joining the voyage of the Galactic Republic exploration and colonization starship Outbound Flight.
Description[]
Sulorine was a terrestrial celestial body[3] located in the Sulorine system, a part of the Suolriep sector[1] in the Slice portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1]

Obi-Wan Kenobi's mission on Sulorine was changed to an assignment aboard the starship Outbound Flight.
In 27 BBY,[4] Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi was tasked with an assignment on Sulorine. However, before he could leave Coruscant,[3] the capital world of the Galactic Republic,[5] Jedi Master Mace Windu instead re-assigned Kenobi and his Padawan student, Anakin Skywalker, to temporarily join the voyage of the Republic exploration and colonization starship Outbound Flight. Upon hearing the news, Kenobi briefly protested that the delay involved would interfere with his mission to Sulorine but ultimately agreed to take up the new assignment.[3]
Later, while the Outbound Flight was preparing to begin its voyage from the planet Yaga Minor, Kenobi met Jedi Master Jorus C'baoth, leader of the Outbound Flight's mission, aboard the composite vessel's command ship. Upon encountering Kenobi, C'baoth—with whom the Jedi Knight had previously undertaken a shared mission to the planet Barlok—expressed his surprise that, by that point, the other Jedi had not already traveled to Sulorine, leading Kenobi to briefly explain the situation.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
- "Sulorine is indeed a typo for Suolriep, but Obi-Wan Kenobi refers to Sulorine in Outbound Flight, which seemed like enough to let it really exist."
- ―Jason Fry
Sulorine was mentioned in the 2006 novel Outbound Flight by Timothy Zahn.[3] The 1997 West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game sourcebook Secrets of the Sisar Run,[7] which erroneously referred to the previously established Suolriep sector[8] as the "Sulorine sector," also placed the Sulorine system, and therefore the celestial body, relatively close to the region known as the Periphery.[7] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, however, with its authors Daniel Wallace and[5] Jason Fry recognizing the typo,[6] overrode the information from Secrets of the Sisar Run by placing the Suolriep system in the Periphery's vicinity and placing the Sulorine system in grid square S-7, further to the galactic north.[5]
