Strik weeds were a type of weed featuring green sap and vivid black grapes. The weed grew on the rainforest moon Felne 6, and its sap was poisonous to touch.[1]

In 228 BBY,[2] Jedi Knights Bell Zettifar and Burryaga Agaburry visited Felne 6 on a mission to investigate reports of a Drengir—a type of sentient, carnivorous plant. The commander of the science outpost on the moon informed the Jedi that nothing on Felne 6 was poisonous at that point in the year other than the strik weeds, which they could avoid by not touching. As Agaburry traveled through Felne 6's thickly forested terrain, he reflected on the leader's advice.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Strik weeds were mentioned in the 2024 novel Temptation of the Force, written by Tessa Gratton and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[3]

  2. Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: Temptation of the Force takes place one year and six weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon and its events span a few months, its events must be set in 228 BBY.
