Steven Fatone is the brother of boy band NSYNC member Joey Fatone. Fatone was originally set to appear as a Jedi in the 2002 prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones alongside his brother Joey Fatone, as well as NSYNC members JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick. Steven was invited alongside NSYNC as band members Justin Timberlake and Lance Bass could not appear due to scheduling conflicts.[1] However, Fatone's brother later confirmed that their scene had been cut as a result of fan backlash. Despite this, Lucasfilm Ltd. spokesperson Lynne Hale could not corroborate that their roles had been cut, stating it was ultimately the decision of director and franchise creator George Lucas.[2] Ultimately, Fatone's character and scene were not present in Attack of the Clones.[3]
