Joey Fatone is a singer and actor best known for his membership in the boy band NSYNC. Fatone was originally set to appear as a Jedi in the 2002 prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones alongside his brother Steven Fatone and fellow NSYNC members JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick.[1] However, Fatone later confirmed that their scene had been cut as a result of fan backlash. Despite this, Lucasfilm Ltd. spokesperson Lynne Hale could not corroborate that their roles had been cut, stating it was ultimately the decision of director and franchise creator George Lucas.[2] Ultimately, Fatone's character and scene were not present in Attack of the Clones.[3]
