Stemzee[2] was an Ewok who had brown eyes and tan fur with grey stripes who lived in the Bright Tree Village on the moon of Endor. They participated in the Battle of Endor. During the battle they manned a catapult with fellow Ewok Chubbray.[3] Stemzee wore a blue hood[3] and wielded a spear.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
Stemzee appeared in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi in scenes shot by the film's second unit near Crescent City, California. During that time of production, a crewmember snapped a publicity photograph of the Ewok holding a film slate. Though Lucasfilm's Leland Chee once speculated that was Nho'Apakk, it was actually Stemzee.[5][6]
Stemzee's name was first identified when the character was included in a Hasbro action figure set, and further confirmed by an article on StarWars.com.[2]
