Skylar-birds were a type of bird that lived on the world Batuu. While meditating in the Batuu Jedi temple[1] around 379 BBY,[2] Jedi Padawan Rooper Nitani reached out with the Force, perceiving the life around her as glowing colors and sensing both a flock of skylar-birds and a herd of horned stoans in the wilds surrounding the temple.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Skylar-birds were mentioned in the short story "Shield of the Jedi," written by George Mann and published in the 2023 young-adult anthology The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life as a part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.[1]
