Silk was a material that was found in the galaxy. Aric Nightdrifter had a fan made of silk.^[3] Silk could also be used to make clothing,^[1] and came in a number of types, such as Sleedaran silk,^[1] Cantonican golden silk,^[4] Onderon silk,^[5] Bardottan silk,^[6] Karlini silk,^[7] shimmersilk, Aeien silk, and durasilk.^[8] Count Dooku owned a pair of exquisite pajamas that were made from only the finest silks.^[9]

Silk was also produced by ginnthos, who used it to trap prey.^[10]
