- "Being a lawman, I could use some protection against those corrupt types who might think to seize the opportunity here on my planet. That armor is mine."
- ―Sheriff Cobb Vanth
Sheriff was a law enforcement title used by police officers.[1] With the disbanding of the Imperial Senate, many local governing institutions were dissolved as well, leaving sheriffs from the Anoat sector out of work.[2] Cobb Vanth held the position on the planet Tatooine shortly after the Battle of Endor.[1] By circa 9 ABY,[3] Vanth was instead using the title of marshal.[4]
