- "I predict, with a certain amount of confidence, that the next point of emergence for the Cacophony is likely to be here."
- ―Harlak, regarding Reventine
Reventine was a planet in the Seswenna sector of the Outer Rim Territories, two star systems away from the planet Eriadu. In 228 BBY, Republic Defense Coalition forces led by Jedi Knights Bell Zettifar and Burryaga Agaburry theorized that Reventine would be the next planet targeted by Nihil marauders led by Storm Melis Shryke. However, Defense Coalition forces instead encountered Jedi Master Avar Kriss, who had escaped the Nihil-controlled region of space known as the Occlusion Zone using Shryke's starship, the Cacophony.
Description[]
- "So, if the principle were to hold, then somewhere in the Seswenna sector would be a logical next target."
- ―Bell Zettifar
Reventine was a populated planet in[2] the Outer Rim Territories'[1] Seswenna sector. It was located in an empty region of space two star systems away from[2] the planet[3] Eriadu.[2]
History[]
- "It's a long story, Bell. But I need to get to Coruscant immediately. And I have a prisoner in tow."
"A prisoner?"
"A Nihil ringleader. Melis Shryke." - ―Avar Kriss and Bell Zettifar
In 230 BBY,[3] the anarchistic faction of marauders known as the Nihil deployed the Stormwall, separating several sectors of the Outer Rim from a region of Nihil-controlled space known as the Occlusion Zone.[4] In 228 BBY,[5] the Stormwall expanded to a point bisecting the Seswenna sector. The new border was at a position near both Eriadu and Reventine.[2]
Following the Stormwall's expansion, Jedi Knights Bell Zettifar and Burryaga Agaburry and Republic Defense Coalition technician Harlak pinpointed Reventine on a star map they were studying as the next world that Nihil Storm Melis Shryke was likely to pillage and began concocting a plan to trap Shryke and her forces there. The Seswenna sector had indeed been the next target for Shryke's forces to raze, with the marauder noting that it would be her first raid so far out and on such a populated place; however, Jedi Master Avar Kriss had hijacked Shryke's starship, the Cacophony,[2] above[6] the planet[7] Seswenna[6] before the mission could take place. As a result, when the Cacophony emerged near Reventine, the Nihil were not present. Instead, the Jedi and Republic forces discovered Kriss, who had utilized hyperspace information from an EX droid to slip through the Stormwall unscathed, with Shryke in tow as a prisoner.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Reventine was depicted in-universe on a map in The High Republic: The Eye of Darkness, a 2023 novel written by George Mann[2] as part of Phase III of The High Republic multimedia project.[8]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic Adventures (2023) 4 takes place one year and two weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, its events must be set in 228 BBY. Since the events of The High Republic Adventures (2023) 6 are set immediately following the fourth issue and depict the expansion of the Stormwall, the events in The High Republic: The Eye of Darkness following the expansion must take place in the same year.
