The RK-3 blaster was a model of blaster pistol manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc. and later Sonn-Blas Corporation^[1] that was used by the Galactic Empire,^[2] the First Order,^[4] and crime lord Azmorigan.^[5] Imperial officers like Imperial Security Bureau Agent Alexsandr Kallus,^[6] Grand Admiral Thrawn,^[7] Vice Admiral Edmon Rampart,^[8] Captain Mann,^[9] and Governor Arihnda Pryce^[10] used the RK-3. Clone X trooper CX-2 used the RK-3 as a backup weapon.^[11] Bounty hunter Bossk'wassak'Cradossk also wielded the RK-3 during a raid on the Halcyon to capture Stolak Vandello, a former member of the Black Sun.^[12] First Order TIE Fighter Pilot Major Elrik Vonreg wielded his own RK-3 that was red.^[13] First Order Security Bureau Agent Tierny wielded two RK-3s.^[14]

The blaster had a stun setting^[15] and was effective in close-range combat, but ineffective when fighting heavily armored enemies, making it weaker than standard blaster pistols.^[4]
