Qui-Gon Jinn's lightsaber was a standard single-bladed lightsaber wielded by the human Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. Jinn used this lightsaber until the Battle of Naboo, where he was mortally wounded by the Sith Lord Darth Maul. Qui-Gon's apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi, then used the same lightsaber to defeat Maul after losing his own.[1] After the battle, the weapon was later returned to the Jedi Temple.[2] With the advent of the Great Jedi Purge,[5] the blade again fell into the possession of Kenobi,[3] who went into hiding on the planet Tatooine.[5] At one point, Kenobi treaded through the desert with his master's lightsaber and that[3] of his former apprentice, Anakin Skywalker,[5] attached to his cloak.[3]
