The hesten were a species of primates.
A primate or simian was any member of the group of animals that included veermoks,[2] hesten, tach, and momongs.[3] The equatorial forests of Ryloth notably hosted carnivorous primates.[1] The All Terrain MegaCaliber Six walkers used by the First Order had a knuckle-walking gait reminiscent of those used by simians[4] and were given the nickname Gorilla Walker.[5]
