"…it tastes like I'm licking the underside of a leaky droid, but I seem compelled to keep drinking it."
"More power to you."
―Sinjir Rath Velus and Temmin Wexley — (audio) Listen (file info)[1]

Plooey-sap was a green, glowing alcoholic beverage produced from trees originating in the jungles of the Outer Rim planet Akiva. During the rebellion on Akiva in 4 ABY, former Imperial loyalty officer Sinjir Rath Velus drank it while in Pok's Place, a cantina in Myrra, Akiva's capital city. Although he felt conflicted about its taste, he continued to imbibe the beverage while conversing with his companion, the junk dealer Temmin Wexley.

Description[]

"Plooey-sap. Comes from one of the trees in the jungle."
―Temmin Wexley — (audio) Listen (file info)[1]

Plooey-sap was a glowing, green beverage that resembled industrial slime waste. The alcoholic beverage was a thick liquid with a gummy quality that was potable to humans. It also had a slight numbing effect when drunk and could be stored in bottles. Plooey-sap could be produced from one of the jungle trees on the Outer Rim planet Akiva.[1]

History[]

"You drink that stuff?"
"I suppose I do. Not that I know what 'this stuff' is."
―Temmin Wexley and Sinjir Rath Velus, about the latter's bottle of plooey-sap — (audio) Listen (file info)[1]

During the rebellion on Akiva[1] in 4 ABY,[2] plooey-sap was served within the cantina Pok's Place in Myrra, the capital city of the Outer Rim planet Akiva. Pok, the Mon Calamari bartender of the establishment, gave a bottle of plooey-sap to the former Imperial loyalty officer Sinjir Rath Velus across the bar's oka-wood bartop. Rath Velus accepted it upon prompting and brought it to a nearby table despite his hesitance at the drink's appearance.[1]

The man drank a swig of it and immediately cringed, reflecting on its awful bitter and sweet flavors as his mouth went slightly numb. Velus continued to drink it, which surprised his companion, the junk dealer Temmin Wexley, who explained the beverage's origin from Akiva's jungle trees. The former loyalty officer then compared the taste of plooey-sap to licking the underside of a leaky droid. When Wexley clambered over the table to reunite with his mother, Norra, Velus's plooey-sap bottle tumbled to the ground.[1]
