Oseon 5631 was an asteroid located in the Centrality's Oseon system. The renowned singer Ema Slake maintained an estate, the most luxurious of the Oseon system asteroid habitats by 27 ABY, on Oseon 5631. At one point, Slake's agent, Sosten Freet, stole several of the singer's trophies, but they were eventually discovered in the agent's own Oseon 5631 residence by a group of investigators.

Description[]

Oseon 5631 was an asteroid located in the Oseon asteroid belt, a part of the Oseon system.^[2] It was situated in the Centrality sector, a part of the Slice portion of the Outer Rim Territories.^[1] Along with the rest of the Oseon system, Oseon 5631 orbited the Oseon sun^[3] and was connected by the Falko Run hyperlane to the Arleen system, while the hyperspace route known as the Cadma Conduit linked it to the Erilnar system and the^[1] Cadma sector's^[4] Dagelin Minor and Simbarc systems.^[1]

History[]

Sosten Freet, the agent of the galaxy-renowned singer Ema Slake, at one point stole more than half of the artist's silicate trophies, which Freet then stored at his residence on Oseon 5631 in crates that were ready to be shipped off. To eliminate himself as a suspect, Freet framed Slake's former holovid director, O'lif Khaz, by planting one of the missing trophies at the latter's apartment on Oseon 8920 and eventually had him arrested.^[2]

Upon leaving that asteroid, however, the group of individuals Freet had hired to investigate Khaz were captured by thugs affiliated with Slake's retired manager, Phaldri Nex. When Nex learned of Freet's involvement in the affair, the former became suspicious and offered to liberate the investigators if they broke into Freet's home on Oseon 5631. The group agreed and discovered the stolen trophies there, after which Freet was apprehended and both the culprit and the trophies were delivered to Slake's estate on the same asteroid.^[2]

On Oseon 5631, the Albingi Ema Slake maintained an estate that was the most luxurious of all the asteroid habitats in the Oseon system^[2] by 27 ABY.^[5] The entire asteroid served as a showcase of the singer's success, and it featured three theme parks, a museum that commemorated Slake's songs and life, and a library that collected a quarter of the galaxy's musical compositions. The Advozse Sosten Freet also kept a residence on Oseon 5631.^[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Oseon 5631 was mentioned in the Wizards of the Coast roleplaying game source article "A Campaign Guide to the Centrality," which was authored by Michael Kogge and was published in Star Wars Gamer 5^[2] on July 24, 2001.^[6] In "A Campaign Guide to the Centrality," the asteroid serves as a setting for a roleplaying adventure hook, which this article assumes plays out as described.^[2]

"Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are," a 1990 roleplaying game source article published in the thirteenth issue of the Voyages SF magazine, placed the Oseon system, and therefore Oseon 5631, in the Zebitrope sector. Since that article was released outside of the Lucas Licensing process, its canonicity within the Star Wars Legends continuity was never confirmed.^[7] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas subsequently overrode the Voyages SF placement by establishing that the Oseon system was situated in grid square T-8 as part of the Centrality.^[1]
