The Old Mandalorians were one of three splinters of Mandalorian society following the Great Clan Wars, the others being the New Mandalorians and Death Watch. Similar to Death Watch, the Old Mandalorians were exiled from Mandalore, but unlike their Death Watch counterparts, did not seek vengeance on the New Mandalorians. Instead, the Old Mandalorians resettled in other parts of the galaxy and worked for the highest bidder, maintaining their Mandalorian warrior heritage as bounty hunters, mercenaries, and other professions.[1]

  2. According to The Official Star Wars Fact File Part 98 (MAN 1-4, Mandalore), the Mandalorian Civil War took place around 20 years before the Clone Wars. As Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the beginning of the Clone Wars to the year 22 BBY, it can be determined that the Mandalorian Civil War took place circa 42 BBY. Since Friends Like These establishes that the Old Mandalorians were formed after the war, it can be deduced that they were formed after 42 BBY.
