Oanne was a planet in the Oanne system and the homeworld of the Elia-An, who had a symbiotic gestation with the planet's nativity trees. A type of fungus that grew on the roots of the trees could be used as an efficient electroconductor. During the High Republic Era, the Galactic Republic made a trade deal with the Elia-An for the fungus and welcomed them into the Republic in exchange for having scientists study their connection with the nativity trees in an attempt to allow offworld travel. After the Occlusion Zone territory of the Nihil marauders expanded to a point where Oanne was situated in close proximity to its Stormwall barrier, a Republic Defense Coalition evacuation team and the Jedi Knights Burryaga Agaburry and Bell Zettifar embarked on a mission to save the Elia-An in case the border expanded further.[1]
