The New Republic Defense Fleet Starfighter Corps[23] also known as the New Republic Starfighter Corps[1] was a starfighter unit of the New Republic. A unit made of New Republic pilots, they participated in battles such as the Battle of Jakku during the Galactic Civil War.[7] Years later, General Leia Organa recruited New Republic pilots for her Resistance to combat the threat of the First Order.[1]
