Net guns, also referred to as net launchers[1] or net-throwers,[2] were devices which fired nets. The cartographer Auric Graf owned a wrist-mounted net gun, which he used to capture creatures for study. While on "Graf-World," Graf's son Milo used the net gun in an attempt to catch an ash-rabbit.[1]
There existed a variant, the electrified net gun, which, when fired, launched an electrically charged stun net that could be used to render individuals unconscious. The Trandoshan hunter Lo-Taren used an electrified net gun to capture Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano during the Second Battle of Felucia.[3]
Net-throwers could be used to capture Gwerax-hai on the world Veron. The criminal Val possessed a modified net-thrower that she used as a grapple gun.[2]
