Biography[]

Veers-hd

The female individual married Maximilian Veers.

A female married[2] the Human male Maximilian Veers soon after the insurrection on Culroon III[3] between 19 BBY and 9 BBY.[5] The two only had one son, Zevulon Veers,[3] and their family embodied Imperial propaganda ideals, as Veers was a proud major in the Imperial Army with a loyal and productive family.[4]

Prior to the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY,[1] the family took a vacation, where Veers's wife succumbed to a rare disease.[2] The death damaged Maximilian's sense of infallibility,[6] and in response to the sudden loss, Maximilian buried himself in his work[3] and told Zevulon to honor his mother's memory by joining the Imperial Military.[4] Zevulon had an unhappy childhood afterward[2] with his strict disciplinarian father[4] and missed the warmth of his mother's smile.[2]

Maximilian continued to rise to the rank of general, and after his success in defeating the Rebel Alliance at the Battle of Hoth[7] in 3 ABY,[3] he was thrust into the public eye by Imperial propaganda as an example of a widower with a loyal son destined to follow in his footsteps.[7] Several weeks after the battle, Zevulon defected to the Alliance.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Maximilian Veers's wife was first mentioned in Dark Empire Sourcebook, a 1993 supplement for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Michael Allen Horne.[2]
