Malador was an overpopulated urban planet located in the Mid Rim's Juvex sector. Cappabellor beetles were native to Malador, and it served as the homeworld of the aristocratic House Kellermin. Over time, Malador's ecosystem was ruined by industrial pollution, and many House Kellermin nobles left the planet for the nearby world of Resti Kel, leaving slaves and client species to work in Malador's factories.

Description[]

Malador was a terrestrial planet located in the Malador system of the Juvex sector, a part of the Senex-Juvex region in the Western Reaches portion of the Mid Rim. Malador lay between the Resti Kel and Zaria systems on the Senex-Juvex Loop hyperlane. The hyperspace route known as the Kassido Bypass linked the planet to the Thermon system, and another hyperlane connected it to the Carsanza system.[1]

Malador was home to an insect species known as the cappabellor beetle.[2] At one point, the planet's nature was considered to be beautiful; however, it eventually became an urbanized world, and many years of industrial pollution and choking smog ruined its ecosystem.[1]

History[]

During the Galactic Civil War, Malador was one of a number of select worlds whose fauna was showcased in the Atrium, a public building in the only spaceport on the[2] Outer Rim Territories[3] planet Ord Mynock.[2]

Inhabitants[]

Malador was a crowded world that was the homeworld of House Kellermin, one of the aristocratic Ancient Houses of the Senex-Juvex region. Eventually, many of the House Kellermin nobles left Malador for the nearby industrial world of Resti Kel, which had been developed much more carefully than Malador. In the absence of the nobles, House Kellermin slaves and members of several client species also inhabited Malador.[1]

Locations[]

Dismal factories were located on Malador and, following the emigration of local nobles to Resti Kel, were staffed by slaves and members of client species of House Kellermin.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Malador was introduced in Gamemaster Toolkit: Live-Action Adventures, a West End Games sourcebook written by Anthony Russo and published in 1996.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the planet in grid square L-17.[1]
