Lyssa Votz was a human female Jedi Knight who served as the Jedi Archivist of the Jedi temple on the planet Dalna. Votz did not crave adventure or excitement and disliked fighting. She frequently forgot her lightsaber, preferring to instead carry a datapad with her at all times.^[3]

Lyssa Votz first appeared in the 2022 novel The High Republic: Mission to Disaster, written by Justina Ireland^[1] as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.^[5] She was first revealed in an article on StarWars.com on November 4, 2020. Ireland based Votz on a Disney Publishing Worldwide publicity manager.^[3]
