A loader droid during the Imperial Era
Loader droids were a type of industrial droids that were used to lift and unload heavy cargo. The Imperial mining moon of Cynda had several loader droids. Count Denetrius Vidian made several changes to their subroutines in order to increase their productivity.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Loader droids were first mentioned in the novel A New Dawn[1] and the audiobook version,[2] which were both released on September 2, 2014.[3][4] Loader droids first appeared in the third episode of the Obi-Wan Kenobi television series,[5] which was released on June 1, 2022.[6]
