Laser-borers were small vehicles that ran on treads and seated a single operator. During the war between the First Order and the Resistance, laser-borer tracks were prevalent around the tunnel entrances to Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Laser-borers were first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, a theme park land that opened at Disneyland on May 31, 2019.[2] Tracks are visible near the land's entrance that staff will identify as having been made by laser-borers if asked by guests.[1] Laser-borers originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they first appeared in the 1979 comic book Star Wars (1977) 28, which was written by Archie Goodwin and illustrated by Carmine Infantino.[3]
