The Kol Iben system was located one system away from the Tatoo system in the Arkanis sector of the Outer Rim Territories. It consisted of the gas giant Kol Iben, its rings, and an unknown number of moons, including the estuary moon of Trask.[1] Around 9 ABY,[3] the Mandalorian Din Djarin was tasked to ferry an female member of an unidentified amphibian species from Tatooine to Trask so that she could meet her husband and fertilize their eggs on the ocean moon.[1]

The gas giant system was first mentioned in "Chapter 10: The Passenger," the second episode of the second season of the Disney+ television series The Mandalorian.[1] It made its first appearance in the following episode, "Chapter 11: The Heiress."[2]
