Kela Neerik was a female Imperial officer who held the rank of commander in the Imperial Navy around the time of the Battle of Yavin, and flew a TIE fighter^[1] within Black Squadron, an elite TIE fighter unit.^[2] During the battle, Neerik informed Black Squadron when the Death Star was six minutes from being within firing range of the moon, Yavin 4.^[1]
