The mother of Kazuda Xiono (pictured) was part of a wealthy family.
The mother of[1] New Republic pilot[2] Kazuda Xiono was a female member of the Xiono family.[1] They and Xiono's father, the senator of the New Republic Hamato Xiono, raised their son[3]—who was born in 14 ABY[4]—as part of a wealthy family, living in the upper echelons[3] of the New Republic capital planet[5] Hosnian Prime's aristocracy.[3] In 34 ABY,[6] while Kazuda was operating as a Resistance spy[2] on the supertanker fuel depot known as the Colossus, he accidentally threw a holodart into gorgmonger Bolza Grool, which in turn prompted the Aleena Grevel to hassle the spy for 1,500 credits, claiming he had lost the game. Kazuda responded that he did not have enough on him but could ask his parents for money.[2]
When the First Order destroyed Hosnian Prime[7] that same year,[8] Kazuda's mother and Hamato, along with the rest of the family, survived, as they had been off-world during the attack. Kazuda's parents then began attempting to contact their son over the course of several days.[1] However, Kazuda believed his family to be dead because of the cataclysm.[9] When Hamato finally made contact, he informed Kazuda via hologram that they had survived. He then warned his son that he had put the whole family in danger, for the First Order had identified him and could send bounty hunters.[1] Despite the threat to himself and his family, Kazuda resolved to continue serving the Resistance.[3]
