Kalpi was a plant native to the grassy[1] Outer Rim Territories[2] planet Bogano.[1] A green and slender plant, kalpi grew on the various wetlands, such as the Subterranean Refuge, and mesas of the planet.[1]
In 14 BBY,[3] Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis harvested a kalpi seed from the Subterranean Refuge on Bogano, to grow it in a terrarium owned by his companion Greez Dritus, aboard the luxury yacht Stinger Mantis. This was done as a form of payment for Dritus' help during the Mantis crew's secret mission to rebuild the Jedi Order.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The kalpi plant was created for the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment.[1] Prior to the game's release, it was first pictured in the StarWars.com Databank entry for the planet Bogano.[2]
