- "Did you hear? KY-1661 was permanently reassigned to garbage duty."
"That's what he gets for not following patrol procedures." - ―A pair of Imperial stormtroopers
KY-1661 was a human[1] stormtrooper who served in the Galactic Empire's Stormtrooper Corps.[2] In 14 BBY,[3] during his secret mission to rebuild the Jedi Order, the Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis overheard two of KY-1661's fellow stormtroopers discuss how KY-1661 had apparently been permanently assigned to garbage duty after not following patrol procedures. One of the stormtroopers feared that they would also be assigned to garbage duty, to which the other assured that stormtrooper that if they followed proper procedures, they would not.[2] KY-1661's reassignment was discussed and overheard by Kestis once again[4] in 9 BBY.[5]
