"Speeder approaching."
"Hold! It's my Padawan."
―A Jedi and Creighton Sun, as Enya Keen and Aida Forte arrived on a Joben S-14 speeder bike[1]

The Joben S-14 speeder bike was a model of repulsorlift speeder bike. While in Erasmus Capital City on the Outer Rim planet Eiram in 382 BBY, the Jedi Aida Forte, Gella Nattai, and Enya Keen purloined two Joben S-14 speeder bikes so they could split up and achieve their mission objectives—warning fellow Jedi of incoming bounty hunter combatants at a nearby wedding venue they were protecting, and pursuing the fugitive Republic envoy Axel Greylark.

Characteristics[]

The Joben S-14 speeder bike was a model of speeder bikes that featured repulsorlift engines. The bikes were fitted with a saddle and could be mounted by one pilot and one passenger.[1] They partially shared their name with Joben T-85 speeder bikes.[2]

Role[]

The speeder bikes were used for passenger transport.[1]

Three Jedi rode Joben S-14 speeder bikes while on Eiram (pictured).

While pursuing the fugitive Republic envoy Axel Greylark through Erasmus Capital City on the Outer Rim planet Eiram[1] in 382 BBY,[3] the Jedi Aida Forte, Gella Nattai, and Enya Keen encountered a large number of bounty hunters heading to infiltrate the wedding venue of Prince Phan-tu Zenn and Princess Xiri A'lbaran, having been lured there by a signal beacon placed there by Greylark as a diversion. Forte found two neon-blue Joben S-14 speeder bikes near her, quickly mounting one with Keen while Nattai hopped on the other. As the three Jedi raced off on the bikes, a surprised individual implored them to come back.[1]

Nattai used her speeder bike to swiftly travel down Eiram's coastline, bouncing against the shock of the repulsorlift. Eventually, she maneuvered the vessel down a rocky path toward the tower emitting the world's electrostatic dome, abandoning the still–powered-on bike as she entered the structure to pursue Greylark. Meanwhile, Forte and Keen rode the other speeder toward the wedding venue, hoping to alert the Jedi guarding the event of the incoming wave of bounty hunters converging on the location. After speeding up a rocky path and carving through a crowd to park at the location, Keen passed on the warning but learned that her Jedi Master, Char-Ryl-Roy, was already aware they had incoming combatants.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Joben S-14 speeder bikes appeared in Convergence, a 2022 novel written by Zoraida Córdova as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase II.[1]
