Ivies was an individual who served as a captain in the Galactic Empire during the Imperial Era.^[1] In 3 ABY,^[2] Ivies commanded a number of snowtroopers searching for signs of the Rebel Alliance at Echo Base on^[1] the Outer Rim planet^[3] Hoth. Weeks into the search, one snowtrooper noticed the arrival of a transport for the rebel contraband the troopers had gathered and stated it was time for them to go. In response, another snowtrooper replied that Ivies had told them to keep searching for signs of the rebels. The first trooper then countered by noting that they had been at the base for weeks and seen nothing but snow, adding that the rebels were long gone.^[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Ivies was mentioned in the first issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. The issue was written by Alyssa Wong and published digitally by Marvel Comics^[1] on May 4, 2020.^[4] Prior to the release of the comic, Ivies was mentioned in a preview article of the issue that was published on StarWars.com on March 25 of the same year.^[5]
