The Hush-98 comlink, manufactured by the SoroSuub Corporation, was a type of handheld comlink commonly used by the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

The Hush-98 comlink was a compact and complex model of comlink manufactured by the SoroSuub Corporation for the Jedi Order. It was lightweight, weighting only half a kilogram, and boasted multiple functions that gave its users an edge over their enemies. In addition to standard communication abilities, the Hush-98 featured a 100-kilometer range, variable frequencies, encoding, a locator, silence projector that created a field of white noise around the user (allowing for private conversations),[1] and the capability to store and transmit complex data, such as the blood sample data collected from Anakin Skywalker.[2] The device's name originated from the fact that it could "hear" even a hush.[source?]
Components of the Hush-98 included a reception antenna, voice pickup, an encoding selector, sound projectors, a sound reproduction matrix, and frequency search control.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Hush-98 comlink as it appeared in the movie was a modified woman's razor (a "Gillette Sensor-Excel for Women").
The toy version of the Hush-98 comlink appears in the expansion pack Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge. Einstein can be seen holding it in the briefing video in the first Allied mission.
