"This droid, he serves you?"
"BD-1 is part of the crew, but I've come across many who think less of droids. Even more since the Empire. Not too different from the Wookiees on Kashyyyk. Anyone who isn't humanoid enough is a target for them."
Merrin and Cere Junda, on BD-1's role in the Mantis crew and the effect of High Human culture[1]

Allegiant General Enric Pryde longed for the return of High Human culture in the galaxy.

High Human was a culture implemented by the Galactic Empire, prevalent on the planet Coruscant. The culture involved the superiority of humans and to a lesser extent humanoids. Allegiant General Enric Pryde of the First Order, a former Imperial officer, wished to return to the trappings of High Human culture and civilization.[2]

Cere Junda saw the ascent of High Human culture during the Imperial Era. Junda observed that a growing number of people had grown prejudiced against anyone who was not considered sufficiently humanoid, such as droids or the Wookiees of Kashyyyk.[3]

In keeping with the Galactic Empire's humanocentric ideals, the Alien Protection Zone on Coruscant arranged regular stormtrooper patrols and the inhabitants were harassed by their armored guards.[4] Despite not probing into past of the planet Aleen, what was known to the Imperial human-centric scholarship was that the Aleena, and possibly the Kindalo, were client species of the Rakatan Infinite Empire, though there was little evidence of any occupation. Years into the Imperial Era, the Galactic Empire evicted or incarcerated nearly all non-humans on the planet Naboo. Gungans managed to escape into their underwater cities.[5]
