"Remember that some of the greatest Mandalores were born or grew up far from our homeworld. Mandalore the Binder was born the son of a rug weaver on Harswee […]"
―Tor Vizsla, Ba'jurne Kyr'tsad Mando'ad[3]

Harswee was an Outer Rim Territories celestial body located in the Mandalore sector. The Mandalorian ruler known as Mandalore the Binder hailed from Harswee, and carpets from its looms were used to decorate the Mandalorian starship Coronet.

Description[]

Harswee was a terrestrial celestial body[3] located in the Harswee system, a part of the Mandalore sector[1] in the Trans-Hydian portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It was located far from Mandalore,[3] the Mandalore sector planet that served as the homeworld of the Mandalorian warrior culture.[4]

History[]

Mandalore the Binder-BHC

Mandalore the Binder was born on Harswee.

At some point, Harswee was settled by Mandalorian people, and the celestial body became an enclave of the Mandalorian culture. An individual was born to a rug weaver on Harswee and eventually became one of the greatest Mandalores, leaders of the Mandalorian people, specifically coming to be known as Mandalore the Binder.[3] Carpets from the looms of Harswee were used to decorate hallways aboard the starship Coronet of Duchess Satine Kryze of Mandalore.[5]

Mandalore the Binder's origin on Harswee was noted in Ba'jurne Kyr'tsad Mando'ad, a manifesto of the Death Watch Mandalorian splinter group. The document was supposedly written by the movement's leader, Tor Vizsla—although the Death Watch's opponent Jango Fett doubted its authenticity—and was eventually included in the book The Bounty Hunter Code by Jango's son, the bounty hunter Boba Fett.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Harswee was introduced in the 2011 reference book Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Incredible Vehicles by Jason Fry.[5] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Harswee system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square O-7.[1]
