"Master Griswal, you saved my life!"
"Careful, young one. My abilities are not what they used to be..."
Kantam Sy and Griswal[1]

Griswal, was a diminutive elder Jedi Master of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era.[1]

In 232 BBY,[3] Griswal was on the Voyager Dawn cruiser for a mediation retreat for elder Jedi when the Legacy Run split apart in hyperspace, causing fragments of the ship to crash through the Hetzal system at incredible speeds in an event known as the Great Hyperspace Disaster. The Voyager Dawn took significant damage during the Great Disaster and needed an emergency evacuation of all passengers. Jedi Master Kantam Sy responded to their call and assisted Jedi Master Fambola to the docking bay. When Fambola alerted Sy to the absence of Griswal, Sy turned back into the ship to find her.[1]

A strong empath, Griswal was greatly overwhelmed by the sudden sense of fear and anguish on the ship, and throughout the galaxy, in response to the Great Disaster. Griswal lost control of her emotions, and control of The Force, resulting in her creating a whirlwind of debris in the garden. Following the Force, Sy found Griswal and calmed her by reminding her of her Jedi training and to find hope in the terror.[1]

Successfully calmed by Sy, Griswal followed Sy in a sprint to the docking bay. Anticipating a collapse in the hallway, Griswal used the Force to protect Sy and closed the chasm created in the bulkhead. Drained from her efforts, Griswal was carried by Sy as they ran through the crumbling ship.[1]

Thankfully, Sy felt a connection with Jedi Master Torban Buck and safely passed Griswal into his arms, saving the elderly Jedi from the destruction of the cruiser.[1]

Equipment[]

Griswal wielded a blue lightsaber.[1]
