- "It's her. Sound the alarm."
- ―A scout guard
A gong was a circular metal disc that made a loud noise when struck. Bardotta's Bahk-tov Council was convened and dismissed by the strike of a gong.[2]
The gong was used by Morgan Elsbeth's army on the forested planet of Corvus to signal an alarm. During the liberation of Calodan[1] in 9 ABY,[3] Elsbeth's army sounded the gong when the Force-sensitive warrior Ahsoka Tano arrived to liberate the city. Tano sliced the gong at the city's gate in half with her lightsabers while battling Calodan's guards.[1]
